Mousse and Cake @ Friday, January 18, 2013

Last week I made cake, beating the egg whites then folding them into the mixture I got light sponge, though I think I could have done better. Le beau said it was good enough to eat w/o icing (he loves his cream cheese frosting), but we ended up adding lemon butter icing anyway, just because there was some in the fridge.



Made white chocolate mousse using a recipe from Monica Trapaga's book. It was nice, but had a salty aftertaste. Wouldn't make it again. The recipe made enough for ten so half of it went to the freezer. Couldn't decide which picture I like best so we got three.
