Movenpick Ice Cream @ Melbourne Central @ Sunday, October 20, 2013 Movenpick at Melbourne Central is located outside the food court or dinning hall, in front of Cupcake Central. Unlike the one at QV which is a sit down cafe where you can hang out this one is your typical take-away ice creamery kiosk. As I already wrote about the first two flavours I'll just (write) type about White Chocolate here. It was delicious tasted premium except the white chocolate flakes throughout the ice cream, which learned more towards Cadbury/Nestle rather than Green's Organic.
I don't like the way it's styled, as it'll drip. Here's a more manageable looking picture.

The girl who severed me was lovely. Last week I met a man who worked at the restaurant eatery next to Movenpick who said he's never eaten there. I asked why, and he pointed out it's $5 a scoop. A very valid point, though on both my visits I spent a total of $16, with $15 spent on vouchers from a group buy site worth $30 credit. At $5 a scoop that's expensive, I'd rather go for frozen yoghurt at Cacao Green. But do check out Movenpick once and try the sampling platter (deluxe is my recommendation . As for us we're happy with $10 gourmet ice cream from the freezer at supermarket (sometimes on sale for $7 ;).

Oh and if you want to sit down and have way more options like platters, waffles, pancakes etc go to the QV location. Melbourne Central has a very small menu (not flavours though) and is for take-away. Personally I wouldn't get waffles or pancakes though, they do ice cream best so that's what you're after. For waffles there's 'Waffle On' in Degraves, and pancakes are upstairs at the Pancake Parlour. A nice outing with friends, QV, but too loud for a date. Plus you might want to spend more time on a date then it takes to finish a cone or two.
Have you been to Movenpick? Ice Cream or Frozen Yoghurt?

Can't fix it, only admin can. Pretty sure if someone rocks up and can't find it they'll figure it out. :P said... on October 26, 2013 at 9:06 PM Hello, Charlie said... on October 26, 2013 at 9:16 PM Thanks Greg, I completely forgot about that feature. |
