Last Tuesday we went to see Empire on the roof at Crown. I love the first performance, girl in a bubble wearing an American swimsuit. At one point bubbles filled the room! All the acts were impressive, there was one by the hosts Oscar & Fanny, where they did quick changes. Oscar wore a stripper suit and got nakid, full frontal but I didn't look. Later on Fanny would pick a guy from the audience to be her helper and she'd rub up against him and make him smell/taste her feet... But it was funny maybe just not for him.

The last act was one of the best the 3D Graffiti Guy does a magical brand balancing act. He starts with a feather on a stick and adds another stick under it, lots of sticks. Put the structor on his head and on another stick standing up. He then eventually takes the feather and the whole thing collapses.

Great show! And lovely setting too, which was like a fancy circus tent, "the mirrored walls and colourful stained-glass windows of the spiegeltent make the whole experience a little like being inside a kaleidoscope". My only negative comment is that a giraffe sat in front of me!

Highly recommended show. Have you seen Empire?
